![]() This is one of the best things I like about Samurai Champloo. Summary The episode opens at night on a samurai being challenged to a fight by a mysterious stranger who manages to kill him with one quick strike. They are greatly animated and the music is always on point. Lethal Lunacy ( Idoku Seidoku) is the tenth episode of the anime series Samurai Champloo. Actually they are a lot amazing than the longer battles of other anime. I don't mind the length of the battle at all in SC. I mean how they suddenly ended it after Mugen stabbed Ukon. The end was kind of sudden, I don't mean the length of the battle. Mugen's past could have been shown during his fight, it would just have been perfect or when he was training. Episode 10: Lethal Lunacy SamuraiChamploo anime SoloNerdBird podcast. Both said that they were enjoying the battle a lot. Samurai Champloo thread leading to episode-by-episode overview on the Solo Nerd. Imo this would have been the episode to tell about Mugen's past because he was so excited about the battle that he even trained instead of barging anywhere like 95% of the times.Īlso, Ukon and Mugen had a similarity. He is a swordsmanship teacher who is known by the nickname 'The Human Dynamo.' He is voiced by Tomohisa Asou in the original Japanese version and voiced by Doug Stone in the English dub. This was an amazing episode, but the thing I was disappointed about the most was that we didn't get to know anything about Mugen. Lethal Lunacy Seishirou Momoi is a character in the Samurai Champloo episode Lethal Lunacy. ![]() Jin wasn't interested in Killing Ukon probably because he already had his doubts on the old priest and he wanted to keep an eye on him. Jun and Fuu caring about Mugen is the best scene by far.Īnd also, I think the preist was praying for Mugen too. Looks like everyone in the trio have started to care a lot about each other. It shows how amazing Mugen is at fighting, that he was able to generate same amount of chi as that of Ukon's in mere seconds. The moment when Ukon's sword got deflected, I think Mugen used chi instinctively to counterattack Ukon's chi. And also the story that Ukon told Mugen about the mountaineer - "he stopped trying to convince others and made his home in the mountains and became a demon" was actually about himself, that how he stopped trying to pass the technique onto others and became a demon by killing them. If he wanted to teach others the technique he should have become a great teacher or something like that. The way Ukon killed other Samurai and tried to teach the superior technique was quite pointless. Mugen training was quite unexpected and I am still thinking how did bungee jumping helped Mugen in battle? How they manage to identify each other's strength shows how skillful both of them are. I really liked the chat between Ukon and Mugen in small food shop. The animation of the battles and music was too notch. Mugen getting serious to fight Ukon shows how strong Ukon actually was. Ukon was probably the strongest Character, including Jin and Mugen. First things first, this episode was gold and the most epic by far.
